Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle in accordance with state and local regulations.

Before utilizing the product, the user should determine the suitability of the product for its intended purpose. A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels expressly disclaims the implied warranties and conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no case shall A&J Natural Stone Heating be liable under any legal theory, including but not limited to contract or strict liability, for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from product use.

Failure to observe these instructions will invalidate the warranty.

WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
This appliance must be disconnected from its power source during installation or service activities and when replacing.
This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. DO NOT use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own unless constant supervision is provided. A&J Natural Stone Heating always recommends the use of a controller range for use with heating stones.
In order to avoid overheating and potential fire hazard, DO NOT cover the heater with the insulating material or similar material under any circumstances. DO NOT locate the heater within 12 inches of any flammable materials.
DO NOT touch the heater when in use. A&J Natural Stone Heaters reach a high surface temperature. Prolonged contact with the stone will cause burns and injury.
DO NOT operate the heater if the cord or plug is damaged, if the heater has malfunctioned, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
Check each heater for damage before installation.
Make sure that the heating panel, the plug, and cord are free of any visible signs of damage. The supplied cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance must be scrapped in accordance with the local waste electrical equipment regulations.
This heater must only be used for the heating of people, animals or buildings. The heater is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge. Children should be kept away and should not be left unsupervised around the unit.
All operators should only plug or unplug the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended operating position in accordance with these instructions. Children must not plug in, switch on or regulate the appliance or perform user maintenance to include cleaning.
IMPORTANT: A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels are designed for use with an AC voltage between 110/120. If your supply voltage exceeds 120 volts do not use the heater and refer to your local dealer.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT lean A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels directly against any surface to include but not limited to wallpaper, wood, carpet, metal, vinyl or any other material. The use of the appropriate mounting brackets or the stand provided by the dealer, are designed to ensure safe operation of the heated stone.

WATER INGRESS PROTECTION
A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels are rated to a standard enabling them to be located within splash zones in a bathroom which means they can be placed in the splash zone above a sink. Installation in potentially wet or humid rooms must be carried out by a suitably qualified installer and comply with local electrical safety requirements.
Installation must be such that:
The heater must not be able to become detached from the brackets and fall into a bathtub, shower, swimming pool or other water containers
Switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in the bathtub, shower, swimming pool or other water containers.
IF IN DOUBT, DO NOT INSTALL
A&J Natural Stone Heating shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury caused or resulting from inadequate fitting or incorrect placement of heaters close to water sources.
POSITIONING:
This is an infrared heater. It heats objects by transferring energy directly from the heater into adjacent objects and spaces
Therefore, consider placing the heater where it will not be immediately obstructed by objects like furniture or where it cannot effectively radiate out, such as at the edge or in the corners of a room
Objects placed in front of the heater will heat up and can prevent effective heat dispersion into the room. Avoid placing it opposite windows or open doorways
Only specific models are designed for ceiling mounting, please check with your A&J Natural Heating consultant before mounting to the ceiling
The minimum distance from the back side of the panel must be 1.5 inches from the mounting surface
This will always be the case if the mounting hardware provided is used
Objects in front of the panel must be at least 2.5 inches away and 8 inches away from the sides. The distance from the sides of the heater must also be compliant if it is intended to recess the heater into the wall or ceiling. Failure to do so will cause excess heat to build up behind the heater and will void the warranty
INSTALLATION WARNINGS:
If the heating panel is being hardwired (so the plug is removed), the electrical installation should only be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.
Wiring to this appliance must be connected in accordance with the relevant national electrical safety standards.
Any fixed wiring outside the heater coming into contact or close proximity to the heater must be protected by a sleeve with a temperature rating of at least 90°C (194°F).
All cabling behind the appliance must take the shortest route to the edge of the heater.
Ensure that the power cable is not coiled. Shorten the power cable if possible and do not place excess cable on the rear of the heater.
Electrical connections must not be made behind the heater regardless of wall or ceiling-mounting position.
The heater is not to be located immediately below a socket outlet in either wall or ceiling-mounted positions.
DO NOT drill through the heater as this will cause irreparable damage and is also dangerous.
DO NOT connect a heater that is damaged in any manner to the power network.
For mounting the A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels use the supplied mounting hardware only and install in accordance with the installation guide.
A&J Natural Stone Heating cannot accept responsibility for damage, loss or injury caused by, or resulting from incorrectly installed heaters.
A&J Natural Stone Heating will not assume liability for consequential loss however caused.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels must be installed, uninstalled, cleaned, or transported only when cold.
CLEANING:
Before attempting to clean the panel, unplug or turn off the heater, isolate the unit from the electrical supply and allow it to completely cool down.
DO NOT immerse the A&J Natural Heating Panels in water or splash water onto it while hot.
Clean the heater with a damp cloth. DO NOT apply abrasive materials, solvents or solvent wipes to the surface as this can cause irreparable damage.
Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
REPAIR:
DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty.
The repairs must only be carried out by A&J service. The unit is to be returned, with proof of purchase, directly back to A&J Natural Stone Heating. 6464 43rd Ave N Glyndon, MN 56547.
DISPOSAL:
The heater is an electrical product and at the end of its working life should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
OPERATION:
Unless the heater is only used as a temporary or portable heater, it must be controlled by a thermostat. Use a controller incorporating a minimum of a 7-day programmer and temperature.
Within one year from the date of purchase, A&J Natural Heating will repair or replace the heater where any fault is due to defects in materials or workmanship. In the event of a warranty claim please consult your local dealer and return the heater together with proof of purchase.
A prerequisite for the validity of the warranty is it’s use solely at the specified supply voltage of the heater and use in accordance with the conditions specified in this manual. Any further warranty or claims are excluded.
The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the defective product only and A&J Natural Stone Heating shall have no liability for installation costs or consequential losses however incurred. Removing the serial number will void the warranty. The warranty will also be void if the heater has been tampered with or opened in any way.
A&J Natural Stone Heating will assume no responsibility for scratches on surface after first use.
A&J Natural Stone Heating cannot accept responsibility for damage, loss or injury caused by ingress of water or moisture, accidental damage, mishandling, external impact, adjustment by unauthorized personnel or failure to follow the correct maintenance and safety precautions as stated in the manual.

Installation Guide for A&J Natural Heating Panels
Installation Kit
The assembly kit consists of:
· 4x fixings brackets
· 4x lag screw
· 4x washers
INSTALLATION STEPS
Step 1
Find a wall stud, measure and mark the four drilling holes on to the intended installation site.
Step 2
Drill holes into the installation site on the marked places. Place the 2 lower brackets on to the wall, fasten with lag screw.
NOTE: Your panel will be marked with the word TOP to indicate which end of the panel needs to be oriented to the top for proper installation and safety.
Step 3
Now fit the heater panel on to the two lower wall holders. With a second persons help, position the 2 top brackets in place and screw in the brackets tight in to the wall.
Step 4
Please check that the A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels cannot be removed from the wall.
Hidden Installation Kit - If you choose to hide your mounting brackets or mounting it on to the ceiling.
Mounting your A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels to the wall or ceiling needs to be addressed prior to ordering the unit. Once the unit is fully assembled by A&J Natural Stone Heating, hidden mounting brackets cannot be incorporated into the stone.
The assembly kit consists of:
· 4x brackets

· 4x nuts
· 8x washers
· 4x bolts (pre installed if slab will be mounted on a wall or ceiling)
INSTALLATION STEPS
Step 1
Find a wall stud, measure and mark the four drilling holes on to the intended installation site.
Step 2
Drill holes into the installation site using the marked holes from step 1.
Step 3
Attach the brackets to the installation site using the lag bolts. Tighten the bolts as tight as possible without damaging or crushing the wall behind the brackets.
Step 4
Before placing your A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels on to the wall brackets please check that the four nuts and washer on the rear of the heater panel are screwed in, leaving enough space to slide it on to your brackets. Fasten the washer tight to the nut with tape on to the bracket to hold it in place. Washer and nuts need to be in front of the bracket slit.
NOTE: Your panel will be marked with the word TOP to indicate which end of the panel needs to be oriented to the top for proper installation and safety.
Step 5
Now fit the panel on to the wall brackets.
Step 6
Screw the four nuts on the rear of the panel so that it is fixed securely to the wall or ceiling and cannot be removed. For this step you will need a 1/2” LONG wrench.
Step 7
Please check that the A&J Natural Stone Heating Panels cannot be removed from the wall.
